Ginza Bairin is the vision of a pharmacists by practice Nobukatsu Shibuya back in 1927 in the Ginza Distric of Tokyo, Ginza Bairin is also one of the leaders of the modern Japanese Katsu house with 86 years of operation in Japan, their Katsudon is even called the “no.1 Donburi in Japan”
And just recently they opened their newest branch in the U.P Town Center, Quezon City along with new additions to the menu. Unfortunately I ate before visiting the Ginza Bairin Philippines branch at UP Town Center, as a result i haven’t had the full experience of their amazing Katsu! I’m sure I’ll be returning there soon to try everything out.
The Manila branches of Ginza Bairin keeps this legacy alive, and now innovates in the form of new dishes for everyone to enjoy even more, – Scott Tan, Managing Director
As the first katsu house in the Ginza district of Tokyo, and as one of the oldest katsu houses in Japan, Shibuya was one of the pioneers of the authentic katsu house as the world knows it today. Diners can enjoy the incomparable Ginza Bairin authentic katsu in a variety of delicious ways. First, as tonkatsu, or pork cutlet; second, as Katsu Sando, an original Ginza Bairin creation of crisp hire katsu sandwiched between soft, freshly baked bread, and seasoned with two special sauces; and third, as Special Katsudon, often hailed “Number One Donburi in Japan.”
Some of the things i find interesting about Ginza Bairin Philippines is that they offer unlimited rice along with most of their dishes and if for some reason your order is unsatisfactory, they will replace it free of charge.
