The HUAWEI MatePad 11.5″ comes out of the box with the 2nd Generation M-Pencil, Magnetic Keyboard case, and of-course the charging cable for the M-Pencil. Overall a very complete set of accessories to get you going right out of the box.
Right away I’m greeted by it’s slick slimline design in the Space Gray color, rounded corners all over the device makes it feel as premium as it looks while maintaining the structural rigidity to withstand getting tossed around in bags.
Booting up the HUAWEI MatePad 11.5″ you’re greeted with the bright glow of the 11.5-inch Display that can run all the way up to 120hz, which at first glance might not seem all that impressive or even needed for a Tablet like this, but remember you can still game on this and gaming is not the only thing high-refresh rate screens are good for! We’ll get to more that later.
Running this entire shebang is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 1, which is more than powerful enough to complete most of the tasks you’d throw as it. On-top of that is HUAWEI’s Harmony OS, the very same launcher you’d see on their HUAWEI P60 Pro! Which makes pretty good companion to make full use of the HUAWEI ecosystem.
PC-Level Microsoft Office Experience
Whether you’re writing your next big thing, or simply tracking expenses on very granular level you’re going to need tools, and tools the HUAWEI MatePad 11.5″ provides, it comes with PC-Level Microsoft WPS Office which enables you to do things you’d only normally only able to do on a desktop computer.
Even the interface itself looks like it’s straight out a Windows machine!
Now how does the 120hz Display help you with productivity? It’s simple really, the higher refresh rate makes the system feel smoother and more responsive than it already is! There’s also cases where the higher refresh rate helps reduce eye-strain to the user.
All work and no game?
With the HUAWEI MatePad 11.5″ you’re not limited to JUST doing work, it still has the oomph to play some casual games, or even something more involved like Mobile Legends, or Genshin Impact.
Meanwhile if you’re looking for something a bit more laid-back then open a Movie or TV Shown on Viu to pass the time, and take in the colors and detial that HUAWEI FullView Display provides.
Overall and Availability
All-in-all The HUAWEI MatePad 11.5″ is a pretty compelling package, and with the value and convenience it provides by including the essentials right in-the box upon purchase is pretty amazing. I’m still to test if it can do slightly more demanding tasks like video-editing on the go, and multi-tasking on multiple apps, let’s say opening up Document on the left, and having Spreadsheet open on the right, but that should be an easy enough test if I get my hands on it a little bit longer than the day.
The HUAWEI MatePad 11.5″ is going to be available in two levels, the one featured here is priced at SRP 19,999 and that comes with everything that was mentioned before Wi-Fi Connectivity, 8GB of RAM, and 128GB of storage. Then there’s the cheaper of the two at SRP 15,999 which skips on all the accessories and only comes with 6GB of RAM while keeping everything else the same.
The HUAWEI MatePad 11.5″ is going to be available online starting August 8, and in all channels by August 11
