Asus Philippines conducted their first ever 48-hour hackathon event was held at Whitespace Manila during June 22 to June 24, 2017. The hackathon entitled Zenfone AR: A New Reality hackathon. Developers nationwide came together in teams to create VR/AR application using the Zenfone AR.
The top 6 teams competed for the finals of Zenfone AR Hackathon. The Top prize winner won Php 100,000 cash and an exclusive internship/immersion at the Asus headquarters in Taiwan. The 2nd placer won Php 75,000 and the third placer won Php 15,000. All winning participants are given respective medals from bronze, silver and gold each.
Winners respectively 1st place – Team AR Botics for winning the gold medal for their AR/ER. 2nd place – Studio 3 – developed “Kwarto” personal hotel experience, 3rd place – Team Imagine AR – Engine AR – they developed checking exterior and interior of a car.
AR Botics started their presentation in asking the audience.
“Who hates traffic? Some says hindi nakakamatay ang traffic! But literally traffic does kills why when a accident happen ambulance have the difficulty reaching the accident location.”
They created a augmented virtual reality emergency room in patients can receive immediate assessment and advice. With AR/ER connects patient to doctors can assess the patient condition. Patients can be connected to doctors anywhere in the world even your at home or at work.
Studio 3 – Developed “Kwarto” a virtual reality hotel experience in where you can amend your amenities. Virtual viewing of rooms where customer room will stay and create customize greetings.
Team Imagine – Developed the Engine AR they showed during their presentation the visualization, simulation and training/manual tool. They demonstrated how you can check out the exterior and interior of a vehicle. Something like that!
